In collaboration with museum angewandte kunst Frankfurt, Ata Macias, creative entrepreneur, musician, DJ and renowned local hero presented his oeuvre in a multifaceted exhibition.

To display the extensive archive of Ata Macias, we conceptualised a digital light installation that highlighted the different creative phases of his ‘applied arts’ approach. Nine overlapping projectors blending an encyclopaedic collage of photographs, record covers, sketches and graphics were controlled by a center-mounted rotary disc.

Custom-designed software allows visitors to use a turntable-like disc to explore the retrospective by shuffling through or viewing individual work phases in detail.
